Wendy and Aaron live in Arizona, but will be getting married this fall at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California. They recently came out for a visit when I shot their engagement portraits at Venice Beach, CA. We had an awesome time exploring and highlighting the uniqueness that Venice offers. I have a lot of good words for this shoot, but one word sums it up pretty well: COLOR.

I was so excited when my friends Pat and Elizabeth asked me to create portraits of their baby girl and the three of them together.

Pat and I were roommates in college at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara and I photographed Pat and Elizabeth’s beautiful wedding in Monterey.

It’s been so cool to be a part of these major milestones in their lives.

Here’s more of Morgan and Brett’s engagement portrait session that our Facebook fans got a little sneak preview of right after the shoot. Morgan and Brett live in Idaho, but will be getting married next month in Malibu, at the beach and the beautiful wedding venue, Saddlerock Ranch. So, on their last visit to California, we planned to do these Santa Monica engagement portraits.

I feel blessed to have the opportunity to work with Morgan and Brett. They’re both awesome, kind people, and definitely make a great match! I had a blast spending the afternoon chasing them around Santa Monica with my camera.

My friend Dr. Norm Reddick, amazing sculptor and cosmetic dentist, asked me to do this multi-generational family portrait shoot at his home in Westlake Village, CA when everyone was home visiting for Easter.

I absolutely love this first shot of his wife and their daughters.

We posted and wrote about the Sieders’ beach portrait shoot a little while back on our blog. Now, I’m really excited to share with you something our Facebook fans already got a look at; The end-result, this amazing eleven canvas, 50×70″ custom portrait installation:

Jenelee and Ryan asked us to photograph their engagement portraits around downtown Los Angeles, including the amazing architecture at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, which is a work of art in its own right. The modern style of the building really suits one of my favorite aspects of art and photography – design. The urban photography was a great fit for Jenelee and Ryan’s style and personalities. We had a blast together.

Since our YouTube page had been sitting around doing nothing for a couple of years, we decided to completely start over and update our page with a bunch of fun, new slideshows. There are a lot of Engagement Sessions on there as well as some Senior Portrait shoots. We also have some Family Portraits and a few Wedding slideshows (with much more to come!). I LOVE this family portrait shoot! I am honestly jealous of these images. Adam did such a fantastic job and the Sieder family made it so fun and easy. Plus, what a beautiful day! It is hard to believe these were taken in December. You gotta love California winters. This was a surprise shoot the family did for their mom and wife for her birthday. Such a cool idea! She was so surprised and the entire family loved their portraits.
