El Matador Malibu Beach Wedding

Taylor and Chris, came from Boston to Malibu to get married in a private ceremony before continuing to Tahiti for their honeymoon.  It was just them, the officiant and me on El Matador State Beach on an absolutely perfect afternoon in April. Taylor is an event coordinator for a marketing agency in Boston; she planned everything from the other side of the country and did a fantastic job. Congratulations Taylor and Chris!

Kelly and Domenic met while attending CSULB and wanted to start the engagement photo session there, on campus. It was such a fun environment to work with that I had to pull myself away to make sure we had time to do more photography around downtown Long Beach.

Pasadena Engagement Photos

Darcy and Kent wanted their engagement portraits somewhere with a lot of flowers and a garden feel. Believe or not, that can be more challenging than you’d think here in Southern California! They chose Huntington Library and Gardens in Pasadena, California, which is an amazing place (though, not very photographer-friendly, unfortunately).

Paramount Ranch Engagement Portraits

Aimee and Derick’s engagement photos were shot in my hometown of Agoura Hills, California, where Aimee and I both grew up. Like me, they share a love for the hills and oak trees of Agoura, so it was great to shoot at an iconic lone oak tree and Paramount Ranch.

Getty Museum Engagement Portraits

What an incredible day Nicole, Rob and I had creating their Getty engagement photos! We were blessed with a rare Southern California day of cloudy skies and sunshine (the clouds are the rare part and I’m basically obsessed with clouds!). The color was spectacular and we all had a great time at the J. Paul Getty Museum, where Nicole and Rob had their first date.

The above image is now a gorgeous 20×30 Fine Art Canvas hanging above Nicole and Rob’s fireplace. You can see a picture that Nicole sent me of their print on in our Customer Photos gallery on Facebook. When choosing large focal-point prints for their homes, I encourage our clients to select portraits that have an interesting design and a look that stands alone.

Rodeo Drive / LACMA Engagement Photos

Photographing Marja and Noel’s engagement portraits at Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) made for a great collection of classy, urban engagement pictures, which suits them well. I was lucky to be able to spend the afternoon with such a great couple. Less than three weeks after this engagement shoot, I photographed their wedding in Newport Beach. It was especially nice shooting at LACMA because my father worked as a foreman on the recent renovations and additions to the buildings there. This was the first time I’d been there since the changes.
