I’m really excited to share these photographs from Cyrus and Lily’s wedding at The London West Hollywood. Thanks to Cyrus and Lily’s great taste, and gutsy style, as well as the coordination and expertise of Bonnie Walker Events, this was a truly unique wedding. Bonnie is a NY, DC and Pittsburgh-based event planner, and the Pittsburgh magazine WHIRL published a great piece about the wedding:

I was so excited when Paola got in touch with me (Amber) to start planning her and Miguel’s Engagement Session. Paola had a totally unique location idea. She said she really wanted to be somewhere desert looking with a lot of cacti. So, I had a few ideas of some local gardens in L.A. that had cactus. But, no one was super excited about the idea. So, we finally decided to do the real thing and go out to Joshua Tree National Park.
Thanks to the amazingness that is Google Maps, I was able to find some cool buildings in the desert to start the shoot at. And, on the drive over Adam saw the wind turbines and wanted to work those into the shoot also. And, of course, we included the famous Joshua Trees as well. It wasn’t the easiest shoot (lots of driving [even some off-roading], strong winds and tons of prickly plants), but everyone said it was totally worth it. I’m so glad they decided on going to the desert because the portraits turned out absolutely beautiful! Enjoy!
I love Carly and Ben’s wedding album. The cover is so simple and clean and showcases the beautiful portrait of the two of them. And, I especially love the silver gilding and lettering. Black and silver is one of my favorite color combinations. =) They chose a black leather, Hand Crafted Elegant Album with white mats and ivory liner. Everything they picked worked together perfectly. And, you can tell just from flipping through this album, how much family and friends mean to them. It was a great celebration and we were honored to be a part of it.

Just like every other time a client album is ready for delivery, I found it very hard to part with this one! I wanted to keep it as a sample. Alas, it’s not mine to keep. So, we’re showing you a video of Kelsey and Corey’s gorgeous Hand Crafted Elegant Album instead. This album was purchased for the bride, as a surprise gift, from her sister who lives out of state. How cool is that?? What a gift!
The cover was a really nice combination of Endive Japanese Book Cloth and an Ivory leatherette with modern, silver lettering and page guilding.

Some of you might have seen the Sneak Peek on Facebook of Samantha + Mark’s Newlywed Session. And, we are really excited to share more of their shoot with everyone. Samantha + Mark are from Toronto, Canada and were married in a small ceremony with family and close friends there before coming to California for their honeymoon. They chose to have their shoot at the Parker Palm Springs, which is an awesome location to do portraits. There are just so many beautiful locations around the property that offered a ton of variety. Adam had a great time hanging out with Samantha + Mark and we hope they enjoyed their time in sunny California. It was such a pleasure working with you and planning the day out. Congratulations you guys! Thanks for letting us be a part of this special day!
Kimberly and Todd were just married a couple of weeks ago in San Juan Capistrano. Congrats again you guys! And, not too long before the wedding Adam had the opportunity to shoot their Engagement Session in Burbank at Stough Canyon Park and Wildwood Canyon Park. It was such a cool session with a retro feel to it. Kimberly and Todd wanted to incorporate Todd’s restored 1965 Ranchero and the portraits were just amazing. Here is the Coffee Table Book we designed for them with their 25 favorites.
