I just love looking at Maryam and Peter’s Engagement Session photographs. You can’t help but smile when looking at them. Maryam seriously has one of the most beautiful, captivating smiles I have ever seen. Plus, they chose one of our favorite spots to take their engagement portraits… Santa Monica! How can you not be happy when spending time at Pacific Pier and the beach? Be sure to check out the last portrait in this post in front of the famous Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel. Classic.
I am so excited to be sharing Erica and Nick’s gorgeous engagement session at Point Dume in Malibu. They could not have picked a more beautiful day to do their shoot! At first, we were all worried that the beach would be super busy on Labor Day. Luckily, it wasn’t a problem at all and Erica and Nick were blessed with one of the most beautiful sunsets ever. Originally, Erica and Nick were thinking about going out on their surfboards for part of the shoot. I am so glad they ended up doing skateboards instead. I love the images they got from it.
Adam and I have known Erica for nearly 10 years and she is one of the sweetest, happiest and fun girls I have ever known. I feel so lucky to call her a friend and to have another girl to share a Lakers obsession with (although she is way more obsessed). ;) We can not wait for Erica and Nick to tie the knot at the Four Seasons Westlake in just two short months!
I am so excited to be posting Heather + Scott’s beautiful Engagement Session at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu. Saddlerock is such a cool property with tons of great photo opportunities. Heather and Scott had so many awesome portraits that it is hard to choose a favorite. I love the photographs with the vintage taxi, the random trailer, an old tractor, a Rolls Royce and, of course, the giant yellow picture frame.
When we shot their wedding at Riviera Country Club a few months after their engagement shoot, Heather mentioned how much she LOVED their engagement portraits and she wished their session was on our website. I told her how much I loved their shoot as well and that I wanted to get it posted also. It took me longer than I had wanted, but I finally did it! See Heather… I was telling the truth. ;) I hope everyone loves the engagement portraits as much as Heather and I do. Enjoy!

We had the honor to photograph baby Ryan when he was only a couple weeks old back in December. We feel so privileged to photograph newborn portraits, since we know they will be remembered for years to come. Plus, we get to hang out with tiny, cute babies. =)
Because their photograph had the most votes by our Facebook fans, they have been awarded a 16×20 Canvas print ($470 value) of their photograph. Congratulations you guys!
The 2nd Place image comes from Gail and Justin’s LACMA Engagement Shoot. Adam had a great time photographing this sweet, hilarious couple at one of the great L.A. area museums. Luckily, both of us were fortunate enough to hang out with them all day photographing their wedding at Intercontinental Hotel in Century City back in October.
The 3rd Place photograph comes from Rauz and Ramin’s beautiful Riviera Country Club wedding in Pacific Palisades. Adam and I both agreed, without a doubt, this was our favorite photo from their wedding because the pure happiness on Rauz’s face was completely captivating.

Wow – it’s hard to believe it’s 2013 already! We were fortunate enough to have had an incredibly busy year in 2012, wrapping up our wedding season on December 30th. This year, we were honored to photograph several weddings for siblings of past wedding clients; these reunions are always a great time. We also had the chance to meet some amazing new people, many of whom have become good friends. 2012 blessed us with an international destination wedding in Thailand. In November, we shot a wedding in Chiang Mai for a fantastic couple, who took us on an adventure of a lifetime. It was truly an unforgettable year!
Just like last year, we’re ready to share some of the photographs we loved from each 2012 wedding, engagement, proposal, and portrait session that Adam and I shot. And, of course we are bringing back the highly anticipated voting contest!
Last year’s contest was so popular that our clients have been asking us all year to do it again this year. We even had some brides ask about it on their wedding day. =) There was no doubt this would become an annual tradition for Embrace Life. I am so excited to finally be sharing this beautiful engagement shoot at Griffith Observatory and Griffith Park overlooking Downtown Los Angeles. Toni and Lucky are like a lot of our couples who want a mix of the urban style and also nature for their engagement session location. My favorite combination is, hands down, Griffith Observatory. First, the building has that old style architecture that you just don’t see anymore. It is a gorgeous backdrop for urban engagement portraits. Plus, there are countless hiking trails and amazing trees all over Griffith Park. And the nice bonus is, you don’t even have to sit through L.A. traffic to get from one location to the other. =)
Toni and Lucky were also really fortunate because on the day of their Engagement Session a big storm was rolling into L.A. The rain held off until just after the shoot, AND they also got some amazing shots with the storm clouds starting to cover Los Angeles. As some of you may know, Adam just loves his clouds. =) Overall, it was a great shoot with a great couple. I hope you all enjoy these portraits as much as I do!
