As promised, I’m happy to share the beautiful Calamigos Ranch Persian garden wedding of the 2nd Place Winner in Embrace Life’s annual Year In Review Contest. I couldn’t think of a better time to share Lillian and Shahriyar’s wedding being that this weekend is their 1 year anniversary.
There are so many elements that I loved about their wedding. Alongside the great coordination work of Simply Natural Events, Lillian had some incredible Pinterest inspiration with creative DIY projects; everything from hand staining their invitations to creating the hybrid escort cards/ favors. It was obvious that everything had a personal touch. And, I can’t forget Lillian’s gorgeous wedding gown. Everything about it was perfect. I just loved the asymmetrical sweetheart neckline and the huge ballroom skirt with rose ruffles. It is definitely one of my favorite wedding dresses ever. But, the part I loved most was spending this special day with an exceptionally sweet couple and their equally sweet family and friends. I love how Persian weddings have many traditions that involve those special people. My favorite moment of the ceremony is the sprinkling of sugar over the couple by ladies in their family, which represents having sweetness in their lives. What a great way to incorporate those important people.
