Another tradition in a Thai wedding is for the guests to tie string around the wrists of the couple (sai sin) to ensure good luck. They are to wear the string bracelets for at least 3 days to ensure the well-wishes of their family and friends. The couple also wear a garland circle on their heads connected by thread (sai monkhon) binding them together yet maintaining their independence.
