Lindsey and Muki’s wedding day began with a beautiful, traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Lindsey looked gorgeous in her red silk dress!

When Muki arrived, Lindsey’s bridesmaids and family put up a good resistance before allowing Muki to see his beautiful bride-to-be. It wasn’t until he broke out the red envelopes (Hóng Bāo) and paid the right “bribes” that he was finally able to greet Linsdey in her room.

Lindsey and Muki knelt before their parents and other relatives to share loving words of gratitude, and a cup of tea, in a show of respect. Their relatives gave them wishes of good luck and generous gifts in the same red envelopes.

I love this one below, on the right, of Lindsey’s brother. He came unprepared and pulled out his wallet to put some cash in a red envelope right in front of everyone at the tea ceremony! It was pretty entertaining.

The pure emotion and love in these beautiful images is just amazing!
